Connectivity:
Our New York facility is directly connected at gigabit speeds to the primary network which consists of multiple OC192 (9.6 Gbit each) diverse path fiber optic SONET rings, and a direct backup OC48 (2.5 Gigabit) SONET ring which connects to a separate carrier. The Edge network is made up of Juniper M series routers, and the internal core network consists of redundant cisco switches and routers which are specifically designed to meet the demanding needs of today’s high-traffic networks. In 2007 capacity upgrades were completed which enable HostXL to offer 1000 Mbit (GigE) network connections to server and colocation clients. Redundant in-building carrier connections are made to several carrier backbones providing fault tolerance and redundancy to:
